Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 16 August 2026
Last Updated: 16 August 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to purchases made from Parelora F.Z.E. (“Parelora”, “we”, “us” or “our”)through parelora.ae or another Parelora-operated purchasing channel.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use and any additional terms displayed on the relevant product, membership or Experience page at the time of purchase.

We want our purchasing terms to be clear before you commit. Because Parelora offers different types of products and experiences—including immediately accessible digital materials—the cancellation and refund rules differ depending on what you purchase.

Nothing in this Policy excludes or restricts any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

1. Digital Products

Parelora offers digital products including journals, Companions, guided reflections, workbooks, downloadable resources and other digital materials (“Digital Products”).

Due to the nature of Digital Products, purchases are generally non-refundable once the Digital Product has been delivered, downloaded, accessed or otherwise made available for use, except where a refund, replacement or other remedy is required under applicable law.

This is because, unlike a physical product, a Digital Product cannot meaningfully be returned once access to its contents has been provided.

We therefore encourage you to review the product description carefully before completing your purchase.

2. Change of Mind

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Parelora does not ordinarily provide a refund for a Digital Product because:

  • you changed your mind after purchasing;

  • you decided you no longer wish to use the Product;

  • you did not complete or use the Product;

  • you purchased the wrong Product through your own error;

  • you expected something materially different from what was accurately described on the Product page;

  • you no longer have time to use the Product;

  • your personal circumstances changed after purchasing; or

  • you purchased a Product and subsequently found a different product or resource that you prefer.

This provision does not affect rights that apply mandatorily under applicable consumer law.

3. Problems With a Digital Product

If a Digital Product:

  • is materially defective;

  • cannot reasonably be accessed because of a problem attributable to Parelora;

  • is incomplete;

  • is materially inconsistent with its description;

  • is materially different from what was purchased;

  • is not delivered as agreed; or

  • otherwise gives rise to a mandatory consumer remedy,

please contact us at:

support@parelora.ae

Include your name, email address used for the purchase, order number where available, the Product purchased and a brief explanation of the problem.

Where appropriate, we may first attempt to resolve a technical or delivery problem by restoring access, replacing the file, correcting the issue or providing another legally appropriate remedy.

Where applicable law requires a refund, replacement or other remedy, Parelora will comply with that requirement.

4. Failure to Download or Use a Digital Product

Failure to download, open, complete or use a Digital Product does not by itself create a right to a refund.

Once the Product has been properly supplied or made accessible, responsibility for deciding when and whether to use it ordinarily rests with the purchaser.

However, if you cannot access your Product because of a genuine technical or delivery problem attributable to Parelora, please contact us so that we can investigate.

5. Technical Compatibility

Where a Digital Product requires particular software, hardware or technical capabilities, we will endeavour to make material requirements reasonably clear where appropriate.

Customers are responsible for maintaining ordinary internet access and compatible devices and software necessary to access standard digital files.

A technical issue caused solely by a customer's device, software, internet connection or third-party application does not ordinarily entitle the customer to a refund where the Product itself was properly supplied and relevant requirements were reasonably disclosed.

We will nevertheless make reasonable efforts to assist with legitimate access issues.

6. Duplicate Purchases

If you accidentally purchase the same Digital Product more than once, contact us promptly at hello@parelora.ae.

If we verify that you were genuinely charged multiple times for the same Product as a result of a duplicate transaction, we may refund the duplicate charge as appropriate.

This does not apply where multiple purchases were intentionally made or where different Products were purchased.

7. Incorrect Charges

If you believe you have been charged an incorrect amount, please contact us promptly.

We will review the transaction and, where an incorrect charge is confirmed, take appropriate corrective action.

8. Promotional Prices and Discount Codes

Parelora may occasionally offer:

  • introductory pricing;

  • promotional pricing;

  • limited-time offers;

  • bundles;

  • discount codes; or

  • other special offers.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional offers cannot ordinarily be applied retrospectively to purchases completed before the promotion began.

The fact that a Product is subsequently discounted does not ordinarily entitle an earlier purchaser to a refund of the price difference.

Promotional offers may be subject to additional terms stated at the time of the promotion.

9. Bundles

Where Products are purchased as a bundle, collection or package, the refund eligibility of the purchase will ordinarily be assessed as a whole unless:

  • an individual component is defective;

  • Parelora expressly provides otherwise; or

  • applicable law requires another remedy.

Accessing or downloading part of a digital bundle may affect whether a change-of-mind cancellation is available, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Memberships

Where Parelora offers paid memberships, the applicable:

  • membership fee;

  • billing frequency;

  • renewal structure;

  • minimum commitment, if any;

  • included benefits; and

  • cancellation conditions

will be disclosed on the applicable membership or checkout page.

Membership terms displayed at the time of purchase form part of your agreement with Parelora.

11. Cancelling a Membership

Where a membership can be cancelled, cancellation will ordinarily stop the next renewal rather than retrospectively cancel a membership period that has already begun.

Unless otherwise stated at purchase or required by law:

monthly membership: cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid monthly billing period;

annual membership: cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid annual membership period.

A Member may ordinarily continue accessing the benefits of the membership until the end of the period already paid for, unless access is terminated because of serious misconduct, fraud, security concerns or another lawful reason.

Specific membership terms may provide different arrangements.

12. Membership Refunds

Membership fees already charged are generally non-refundable merely because a Member:

  • changes her mind;

  • does not use the membership;

  • does not attend available activities;

  • does not access available content;

  • chooses to leave the community; or

  • no longer has sufficient time to participate.

This is subject to mandatory consumer rights and any specific refund commitment made at the time of purchase.

If Parelora materially fails to provide a paid membership as agreed, we will assess the appropriate remedy in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.

13. Changes to Membership

Parelora may evolve the format, programming, schedule and features of its community as it develops.

Minor or reasonable changes do not automatically create a right to a refund.

However, if Parelora makes a material change that substantially removes the core benefit of a paid membership during an existing paid period, we will consider an appropriate remedy where required by applicable law or the applicable membership agreement.

14. Experiences and Events

Parelora may separately offer paid:

  • dinners;

  • gatherings;

  • workshops;

  • conversations;

  • cultural experiences;

  • wellness experiences;

  • retreats;

  • classes;

  • travel-related experiences; or

  • other in-person or virtual events

(collectively, “Experiences”).

Unless expressly stated otherwise, paid Experiences are separate from Parelora membership fees and may require separate booking and payment.

Each Experience may have its own cancellation conditions depending on venue commitments, supplier requirements, capacity and advance costs.

The applicable cancellation conditions should be displayed before purchase where appropriate.

15. Customer Cancellation of an Experience

Because Parelora may incur non-refundable venue, hospitality, supplier, reservation or production costs before an Experience takes place, refund conditions may vary between Experiences.

The cancellation policy displayed on the relevant Experience page or during booking will apply to that Experience.

If no specific cancellation policy is provided, Parelora will assess cancellation requests reasonably in light of:

  • how far in advance cancellation occurred;

  • whether Parelora has incurred non-refundable costs;

  • whether the place can reasonably be resold;

  • contractual commitments to third-party suppliers; and

  • applicable consumer law.

We strongly recommend reviewing the applicable cancellation terms before booking any Experience.

16. Transfers of Experience Bookings

Certain Experience bookings may be transferable to another eligible attendee with Parelora's prior approval.

Whether a transfer is permitted will depend on the nature of the Experience, venue requirements, guest eligibility and any applicable supplier terms.

You should not sell, auction or commercially resell a Parelora Experience booking without our written permission.

17. Cancellation by Parelora

If Parelora cancels a paid Experience and does not provide a reasonable replacement or rescheduled option accepted by you, we will provide the remedy required under the applicable booking terms and applicable law, which may include refunding the amount paid to Parelora for the cancelled Experience.

Unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed otherwise, Parelora is not responsible for independently arranged costs such as:

  • flights;

  • transportation;

  • accommodation;

  • visas;

  • childcare;

  • clothing;

  • personal appointments; or

  • other expenses incurred in anticipation of an Experience.

For Experiences involving significant travel, we recommend appropriate travel insurance where relevant.

18. Rescheduled Experiences

If an Experience must be rescheduled, we may offer your booking for the new date.

Where you cannot reasonably attend the rescheduled date, the available remedy will depend on the applicable booking terms, the circumstances of the rescheduling and mandatory law.

19. Force Majeure

An Experience may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside Parelora's reasonable control, including severe weather, governmental action, public-health events, transportation disruption, venue closure, civil emergency, infrastructure failure or other force majeure events.

Where this occurs, Parelora will communicate available options and deal with payments in accordance with the applicable Experience terms and mandatory law.

20. Complimentary Products and Experiences

Products, memberships or Experiences provided entirely free of charge do not ordinarily have a monetary refund value.

This does not affect rights relating to paid portions of a transaction or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.

21. Gifts

Where Parelora introduces gifting functionality, refund rights will ordinarily belong to the purchaser rather than the gift recipient unless otherwise stated or required by law.

Digital gifts that have already been redeemed or accessed may be subject to the same restrictions applicable to other Digital Products.

22. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe a payment has been taken incorrectly, we encourage you to contact:

support@parelora.ae

before initiating a payment dispute so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

Nothing in this Policy prevents you from exercising legitimate rights available through your card issuer, financial institution, payment provider or applicable law.

However, knowingly filing a fraudulent or materially misleading chargeback in relation to a Product or Service that was properly purchased and supplied may result in suspension of Parelora access and other lawful action.

Parelora may provide relevant transaction and fulfilment evidence to a payment provider when responding to a payment dispute.

23. How to Request a Refund or Remedy

To request a refund, replacement or other remedy, email:

support@parelora.ae

Please include, where available:

Your full name
Email address used for the purchase
Order number
Product, membership or Experience purchased
Date of purchase
Reason for your request

We may request reasonable additional information necessary to verify the transaction and investigate the issue.

24. Processing Approved Refunds

Where a refund is approved, it will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method where reasonably possible.

The time taken for funds to appear may depend on the payment processor, card issuer or financial institution and may therefore be outside Parelora's direct control.

A refund being approved by Parelora does not necessarily mean that the customer's financial institution will display the funds immediately.

25. Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive rights or remedies that a consumer has under applicable law and which cannot lawfully be excluded or waived.

Where there is a conflict between this Policy and a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory requirement will prevail.

UAE legislation governing modern technology-based trade provides consumers with specified rights concerning goods and services purchased through modern technological means, including return or replacement rights in qualifying circumstances.
